Bogoak Knot

Bogoak Knot
(Bogoak)

The phalic shape of this peice is suggestive of the standing stones errected by the pre-celtic peoples, as fertitility symbols, asking their sun god to make the earth goddes fertile. Knotwork and spirals were often used to decorate the ceremonial stones of these people. This knotwork, also phalic shaped works with the overall shape of the peice to represent fertility.
